Privacy policy

GrowPls is a gardening companion app for iPhone and Android from the makers of agri.bot. This policy explains what we collect when you use it, what we do with it, and how to get rid of it. The short version: we keep what the app needs to work, we don't sell anything, and you can delete everything from inside the app.

What we collect

• Your email address, used to sign you in with a one-time code. There are no passwords.
• What you add about your plants: names, notes, care history, reminders, photos and videos, and the messages you exchange with the AI assistant.
• Optional profile details you choose to enter, such as your display name, area and climate note, and your time zone so reminder emails arrive in your morning.
• Subscription status if you buy GrowPls Plus: Apple or Google tells us whether your subscription is active, which plan it is and when it renews. We never see your payment details.
• Basic technical logs on our servers (request times, errors) needed to keep the service running. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers in the app.

How the AI works with your data

When you ask the assistant about a plant, we send that plant's profile, its recent care history, the photos you attach and a few recent dated photos of that plant to OpenAI to generate the reply. OpenAI processes this to answer your question and, under their API terms, does not use it to train their models. We do not send your email address.

Where it lives

Data is stored on servers in the United States (AWS, us-east-1): a database for your account and plant records, and object storage for photos and videos. Sign-in codes and reminder emails are sent through Amazon SES.

Emails

We email you a sign-in code when you ask for one, and, if you have reminders, a short morning digest of the checks due that day. You can turn reminder emails off in the app's Settings or with the unsubscribe link in any digest. We don't send marketing email.

Sharing

We don't sell or rent your data. It is shared only with the providers named above (OpenAI, Amazon Web Services, Apple and Google for purchases) to the extent needed to run the app, and with authorities if the law requires it.

Deleting your data

Settings → Delete account removes your account, plants, photos, chats, reminders and subscription records from our systems immediately. Deleting a single plant removes everything attached to it. Backups roll off within 30 days. Cancelling a subscription is done through Apple or Google and does not delete your account.

Children

GrowPls is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app and update the date at the top.
